Terms of use

Use SitSorted as a handover aid—not a substitute for judgement or professional care.

These terms apply when you use the public tools, an invited owner workspace or a shared sitter brief. SitSorted is an independent online service based in England. Effective 24 July 2026.

Using the service

You are responsible for checking that instructions are accurate, current and appropriate for the person providing care. The sitter remains responsible for using reasonable judgement and contacting the owner, emergency contact or an appropriate professional when needed.

Sensitive information

Do not add access codes, passwords, alarm details, full medical records, payment information or other high-risk secrets. SitSorted intentionally provides no dedicated fields for them. Share them separately through a channel you trust.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to bypass invitations, access controls, rate limits or another person’s records.
  • Do not use SitSorted to find, rank, advertise or transact with sitters as though it were a marketplace.
  • Do not upload unlawful, harmful or misleading material, or use the service to put a person or animal at risk.

Availability and changes

Features may change, pause or be withdrawn while safety, reliability and compatibility are evaluated. SitSorted does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Keep a printed or copied fallback for important handovers.

Service boundaries

SitSorted is not a sitter marketplace, booking service, emergency service, veterinary service or substitute for professional advice. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer law.

Contact and governing law

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@sitsorted.com. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts that apply under mandatory consumer law will have jurisdiction; otherwise, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
